Drink Less - Live More

Today marks the first day of Alcohol Awareness Week! and to celebrate we would love to introduce you to our DRINK LESS programme!

The aim of the game is to create a safe space where individuals can reflect on their relationships with alcohol, get great advice about how to reduce their weekly intake, and look at alternatives to alcohol and alcohol related lifestyle & culture.

Our DRINK LESS team are on hand to offer support and knowledge for individuals about alcohol related harm and take a closer look at the guidelines for consumption and how they relate to us as individuals

Our interactive app allows individuals to track their alcohol consumption, sleep, mood and physical activity to give us greater control over our consumption and choices. The app also provides motivational messages and prompts throughout the journey to encourage you and help you keep track of our consumption.

One You Lincolnshire Health Coaches deliver 1:1 behaviour change sessions across Lincolnshire, promoting the benefits of change and breaking down those barriers…and we may have roped them into delivering the workshops too! A workshop you say – Yes, here at OYL we also offer a one off creative yet informative session which explores a person’s relationship with alcohol, the effects of alcohol on health, culture and much more. It is fun we promise. Did you know it only takes 6 minutes for the brain to react to alcohol? The workshop tries to build on knowledge by offering quirky facts as well as providing activities that gently challenge attitudes and belief systems.

With that in mind - Get Involved! October saw the first of our workshops being delivered in Lincoln. There was great discussion and some valuable learning points made, it definitely got everyone involved thinking…

Has this got you thinking? Thinking about you. Thinking about a family member. Or thinking about a friend.

Let’s talk. Alcohol doesn’t have to be taboo. It doesn’t have to be a difficult conversation. Reducing alcohol consumption positively impacts a person’s ability to lead a healthy lifestyle. OYL supports Alcohol Awareness Week and we’re determined to spread the word! Health Matters, because there's only one you!
