What is Dry January all about and how can you do it with OYL?
If all the other nasties aren’t enough, Dry January is the perfect excuse to take a break from the booze. The challenge should you chose to accept it is one month alcohol free.
Hundreds of thousands of people have been taking the yearly pledge since 2013. In 2020 a record breaking 100,000 people signed up to the challenge with Alcohol Change UK, whilst 4 million people were said to have taken part in the event on their own.
Dry January has undeniable success, with Alcohol Change UK reporting that 72% of people who take part in the challenge continue to drink less 6 months on. 80% felt more in control, 84% saved money and 72% had improved sleep patterns!
