Gill signed up for One You Lincolnshire's free 12 week Lose Weight with course and here is her testimonial of the course and her amazing coach, Chris.

How did you hear about us?

I was recommended to the One You Lincolnshire weight loss programme by my Diabetic nurse as I didn’t have the incentive to lose weight on my own.

What was your biggest struggle or challenge?

My big problem was eating cakes, biscuits, crisps and chocolate! The course enabled me to look at my diet and choose healthy alternatives, writing a food diary each week kept me on track.

What did you think to the resources that you received as part of the course?

I found the booklet which was sent very informative and the measurement beaker kept my portion control of cereal much smaller.

What changes did you make to your lifestyle?

I had been doing an hour swim each week before the course but I increased this to a swim with twenty minutes vigorous activity of front crawl, a gym session of thirty five minutes and a walk of thirty minutes in the afternoon.

What was your experience of the course delivery and your coach?

The Zoom sessions were a safe way to contact our group and Chris was excellent at giving us useful information on a variety of topics including the exercise session.

What achievements are you most proud of?

In fourteen weeks I have lost a stone and a half which I am extremely happy with and hope to continue the exercise, diet and mind set.

I had some blood tests taken and they were considering putting me on another tablet because of my previous test but due to the recent test they found I didn’t need the extra tablet and I could stop taking one of my current ones.

What are your overall thoughts of the course?

The course gave me loads of useful information on food types, food labelling, calorie intake, attitudes, motivation and exercise. It has encouraged me to continue on my path because I know it works, from a satisfied customer, Gill.
