Have you heard about our One You Lincolnshire "Smashing It" Sessions?
One You Lincolnshire offer a variety of programmes within our Move More pathway to support individuals to increase their physical activity to 150 minutes per week. Our “Smashing It” session on a Wednesday evening at Bishop Grosseteste Sports and Fitness Sports Hall 18.30 – 19.30 is a great way to dust of your skills or try something new.
One player said “I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy it, and already had doubts about returning. But after my first session I was raving about it! So much so I went home and told my husband and now he is on the programme too! Alongside this we are doing Slimming World and we have both lost almost ½ a stone over 3 weeks but are still managing to enjoy the odd treat. We even had fish and chips last week!”
This fun interactive session with likeminded individuals will increase your activity levels, refresh and teach you new skills. We promise you will have a great time, meet new people and feel energised.

Recently one of the One You Lincolnshire team went along to try out the session for size.
She said “I was welcomed into a great facility on a cold and wet evening in March. However, I soon warmed up when I was welcomed by the smiling faces of the group. After a short register David got us warming up ready for the session with some light exercises – some marching on the spot and circling the arms. We paired off and began hitting between ourselves. The group was mixed and so inclusive I felt part of the group immediately. No one judged each other and we all enjoyed being back in the game! Later David introduced some games and then got us to practise skills with our partners which he had demonstrated to us and explained clearly. We took regular breaks to catch our breath if needed and have a quick drink. As we all relaxed into the sessions some of us enjoyed a competitive game too! Towards the end of the hour David invited those who wished to record their weight to do so in a discrete part of the sports hall. Overall, it is a fantastic session and a great way to increase your activity levels. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and have now signed up to a social badminton session locally to me!”
All equipment is provided and there is free parking available too. All you need is you!
